We are seeking a Consultant in our National Global Risk Management Producers department.

General Summary

Responsible for supporting 3D National Practice Leader in managing and developing US Marsh 3D framework and related results. This includes facilitating client engagement, including progression of Marsh colleague 3D fluency and activity. Associate will utilize their thorough knowledge of risk management, finance, and general management areas to provide comprehensive, value add Marsh 3D services to client and Marsh colleagues. As a result of implementing and refining an effective Marsh 3D framework, the Associate will facilitate strategic risk management problem solving and source resulting ideas addressing insurable and uninsurable risk opportunities (i.e. ways to reduce Total Cost of Risk, utilized Risk Mapping, apply Risk Tolerance and assess Insurance Program Optimization) to drive Marsh 3D outcomes, profitability and growth for the firm. Marsh 3D results may involve resulting opportunities to introduce and cross sell Marsh and MRC (MMC Co) products and services, as appropriate.

Essential Functions

1. Responsible for assisting 3D National Practice Leader in developing and maintaining the US Marsh 3D Account Servicing Framework, which is closely aligned with generally accepted Risk Management and ERM framework and targeting results to support and align with client business objectives, risk metrics, analytics, and reporting.

2. Through application of Marsh 3D principles and Marsh 3D framework, assist 3D National Practice Leader and Marsh colleagues in the development and annual planning for Marsh 3D activities and quality. This includes accountability for implementation, reporting, training, and providing program resources.

3. Maintain a trusted, collaborative relationship with internal Marsh colleagues and Marsh management to promote an appropriate level of engagement in Marsh 3D activities. This includes, providing a high level of credibility for the Marsh 3D program and related strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

4. Capable of reviewing client data, financial reports, and Industry information to provide risk management viewpoints aligned with target business objectives for all levels of client management teams. Uses facilitative and diagnostic skills to assist clients in the articulation and resolution of risk management and enterprise risk management challenges.


5. Facilitates and leads team in developing Marsh 3D deliverables, including participating on teams developing strategic risk management overviews, recommendations and client presentations. In completing this function, Associate may work Financial, Legal, Compliance, Information Technology, Internal Audit, and Operations team within client?s organization to ensure complete, high-quality strategic risk management and performance planning outputs. Builds strong alliances inside and outside colleague/client teams to positively influence strategic risk thinking, risk identification and metrics addressing significant risks/opportunities.

6. Reviews key performance indicators/metrics and assists Marsh colleagues in facilitating the identification of risk trends, risk responses, and insurance solutions aligned with KPI?s. Directs or performs research (e.g. reviews annual report, financial data, benchmarking, etc) for Strategic Risk Planning purposes, as requested.

7. Through execution of the Marsh 3D framework, provide integrated and strategic risk management guidance to Marsh Client Executives, Industry Practice leaders, Risk Practice, 3D Licensed Drivers, and Marsh colleagues. This includes facilitating the identification, evaluation, understanding, management, and communication of Marsh 3D results and related deliverables

8. Supports developing Marsh 3D dashboards and reporting to meet the needs of client Executive Management and Risk Management teams, including various committees and the Board of Directors. Support may include due diligence work, assessment of project management, and consulting management on key concerns or exposure. Converts or translates project requirements into a work plan within a practice or technical area.

9. Manages the development and delivery of Marsh 3D training programs. Continuously assesses changes in the program content to ensure ongoing effectiveness. Suggests and applies objective criteria for measuring important Marsh 3D internal processes. Identify and suggest new ways of applying processes and technologies.


10. Responsible for assisting in developing and maintaining the Marsh 3D Account Servicing Framework and supporting analytical, reporting, and communication tools. Produces creative and effective materials that reflect an understanding of client, project and technical issues.


11. Assist Marsh 3D National Practice Leader in the development and annual planning for Marsh 3D activities, budgets, and resources.

12. Partners with business unit management to prepare risk self-assessments, including analyzing the stated controls, identifying gaps, and facilitating the creation of management action plans.

  • Utilize spheres of influence to develop new and expanded business across all MMC Co?s.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of eight to ten years' experience within a risk management environment, insurance company or brokerage experience handling national or global accounts. Licensing according to company policy or applicable law


REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management field required. Masters Degree, CRM, ARM designation, CPCU coursework a plus.
