Department Overview:

Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, North American Operations (NAO), the HR Business Partner will play an instrumental role in shaping and achieving the assigned client group?s strategy and objectives through the delivery of strategic human resources services and programs.? Working closely with Leaders, the HR Business Partner will handle all aspects of a generalist HR role. The role is measured by the ability to provide strategic guidance to Leaders in an evolving and constantly changing business environment.? The specific client group is the NAO Shale Division.


Responsibilities:

?

  • Partner with and provide input to Centres of Expertise on design of a robust suite of HR programs.
  • Deliver such programs including total rewards, talent management, workforce planning, talent acquisition and employee relations.
  • Provide expertise in the areas of organization design, and serve as an internal consultant and facilitator for the client group.
  • Provide active coaching of the client leadership team on critical employee development matters.
  • Deliver annual programs (compensation, performance reviews, etc.) and roll out People initiatives to the client groups.
  • In collaboration with Talent Acquisition, coach hiring managers through the talent acquisition and on-boarding process for new team members.
  • Serve as an active member of both the client leadership team and the Global HR team as a contributor to strategic business decisions.
  • Lead and/or participate on cross functional project teams to execute on the Talisman People Strategy


Qualifications:

?

  • The candidate will have a Management or Business degree along with a minimum of 10 years of HR experience in large, multi-site organizations, ideally global in nature.

?

  • Must have excellent leadership, project management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills as well as a demonstrated track record of working through change and process improvement
  • Develops a deep understanding of the specific businesses they support and the Oil & Gas business environment in general
  • Builds relationships and credibility to underpin and enable challenge, pushback, confrontation
  • Judgment ? knows when to collaborate and willingly does so.? Able to work within a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders
